Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and validate in‑house test setups, jigs, fixtures, and test methods.
* Create 3D CAD designs for prototypes and mechanical components.
* Build and iterate prototypes using 3D printers (FDM/resin), CNC milling, and workshop tools.
* Perform mechanical and functional testing of devices and assemblies.
* Prepare test protocols, configure setups, collect data, and document results.
* Analyse findings and provide recommendations for design improvements.
* Maintain laboratory tools, equipment, and prototyping machines; ensure safety standards are followed.
* Collaborate closely with device engineers and other teams.
* Prepare and coordinate sample shipments.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Essential
* Degree in (electro-)mechanical engineering or equivalent lab/testing experience.
* Strong hands‑on technical background in building test setups, assembling prototypes, and performing lab/engineering tests.
* Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).
* Experience with rapid prototyping (filament/resin 3D printing, CNC milling, workshop tools).
* Practical, autonomous problem-solver with a proactive, can‑do approach.
* Strong English communication, documentation, and organisational skills.
* Team-oriented, comfortable in a hands-on innovation environment.
Desirable
* Experience with medical devices.
* Knowledge of laboratory safety guidelines.
* Familiarity with maintaining lab equipment and managing supplies.
