Freelance Mechanical Design Engineer (CREO Preferred)

We are supporting a well-established Belgian engineering company with a strong 2025 project pipeline. They are looking for a Freelance Mechanical Design Engineer to support complex, custom-built industrial projects.
This is a project-driven environment — not repetitive product design. Every project brings new engineering challenges across brownfield and greenfield installations.
Scope of Work
* Mechanical design of custom industrial equipment
* 3D modelling and 2D manufacturing drawings
* Layout integration within existing installations
* Adapting machinery to client-specific capacity & technical requirements
* Working closely with internal engineering teams
* Opportunity to gradually support client-facing technical discussions
Required Profile
* Mechanical Engineering background
* Strong 3D CAD experience (CREO preferred, Inventor/SolidWorks considered)
* Experience in machinery, mechanical structures, tanks, conveyors, or industrial equipment
* Problem-solving mindset – able to design beyond standard templates
* Strong communication skills
* Based in Belgium or able to work onsite in Flanders
