Your Role
The primary objective of the Senior Finance Controller role is to act as a key strategic partner to the Hydrogen Business Unit Management, supporting decision‑making through the design and implementation of robust performance indicators and the delivery of high‑value financial analyses. The role aims to proactively monitor, anticipate, and steer the financial performance of the Business Unit across the various regions in which it operates.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Regional Financial Steering & Performance Analysis (FP&A) – Lead the financial steering and performance analysis of the regions (China, HQ, Europe, India, United States, Middle East). Perform monthly performance reviews, actuals vs budget and forecast analyses, prepare and monitor monthly and quarterly reforecast, lead the annual budgeting process, develop mid‑term business plans, deliver Monthly Business Reviews, perform advanced FP&A analyses, ensure consistency, quality, and compliance of financial data, and identify, analyse and explain variances.
* Budgets, Investments, Contracts & Impairment Tests – Prepare and consolidate budgets, forecasts and business plans; review and validate investment projects across regions; perform and monitor impairment tests; present business plans to investors; review and validate the financial performance of customer contracts; analyse cost structures and regional cost sheets.
* Projects & Operational Financial Management – Participate in project commitment committees, prepare financial cases, support Project Managers with ProMoCore, monitor margins, cash flow, liquidity, and cash‑in, build forecast workload curves, and align future workload with workforce capacity.
* Reporting & Performance Indicators – Prepare and validate monthly operational reporting combining financial and non‑financial data; translate financial indicators into business‑relevant insights; define, implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators; monitor balance sheet items (working capital, CAPEX, etc.) and implement corrective actions.
* Governance, Compliance & Strategy – Prepare and contribute to financial audits; provide financial expertise for specific operations; contribute to the definition and execution of the Business Unit’s strategy; ensure compliance with Group policies and procedures and implement corrective actions.
Your team
You will join a multidisciplinary, agile and multicultural Finance team of approximately 12 professionals, including Project Cost Controllers, Production Controllers and ESG Controllers. The team operates in a highly collaborative environment, working in close interaction with technical experts in the Hydrogen business (engineering, project management, operations) as well as with business and management stakeholders. The work culture promotes knowledge sharing, collective performance and continuous improvement, supported by a management style based on trust, autonomy, accountability and clear communication.
Your Profile
Experience & Technical Skills
* Master degree in Finance, Controlling or Business Management.
* Minimum 15 years of experience as a Finance Controller in an industrial environment, ideally in project‑based organizations.
* Experience in industrial audit is considered a strong asset.
* Solid knowledge of IFRS standards.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken; any additional language is a plus.
Technical Skills
* Advanced proficiency in Excel (hands‑on modelling, analysis, and data structuring).
* Experience with ERP systems such as SAP FICO and BW.
* Strong command of reporting and data visualization tools, particularly Power BI.

* Strong analytical, structured and rigorous mindset, with the ability to deep‑dive into numbers.
* High attention to data accuracy, consistency and reliability.
* Well‑developed critical thinking skills and ability to challenge and reconcile information.
