* Develop and maintain verification strategies covering analog, digital, and mixed-signal interactions.
* Ensure functional correctness and performance validation of mixed-signal systems across behavioral and transistor-level simulations.
* Drive regression methodologies and verification coverage for mixed-signal designs.
* Debug complex mixed-signal simulation and integration issues.
Methodology and Flow Development
* Define, deploy, and align mixed-signal verification methodologies and simulation flows with the digital verification team.
* Establish scalable and reusable mixed-signal verification infrastructures.
* Improve simulation performance and convergence through appropriate abstraction and modeling techniques.
* Drive best practices for mixed-signal integration, verification, and model management.
* Participate in technology, supplier, and EDA tool evaluations and selections.
Full-Custom Digital Design
* Design and implement full-custom digital blocks used in mixed-signal systems, including:
* Sequencers
* High-speed ADC digital counters
* Timing-critical digital control logic
* Calibration and control state machines
* Collaborate with analog designers to optimize partitioning between analog and digital domains.
* Support synthesis-independent custom digital implementations when required by performance or power constraints.
Modeling and Behavioral Development
* Develop and maintain analog behavioral models in Verilog-A and Verilog.
* Create accurate and simulation-efficient models for mixed-signal verification.
* Mentor and support analog designers in developing behavioral models and adopting mixed-signal verification methodologies.
* Promote modeling standards and reusable verification components across projects.
Silicon Bring-Up Support
* Ensure verification environments are aligned with post-silicon bring-up and validation methodologies.
* Support silicon debug activities through model correlation and testbench reuse.
* Collaborate with validation and test engineers to improve observability and debug efficiency.
Qualifications
Education
* Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or Physics or related field.
Experience
* 7+ years of hands-on experience in CMOS image sensors or mixed-signal SoCs.
* Strong experience in mixed-signal IC design and verification.
* Solid understanding of analog and digital integration challenges.
* Expertise with mixed-signal simulation environments and methodologies.
* Strong experience with:
* Verilog-A
* Verilog/SystemVerilog
* AMS simulation flows
* Mixed-signal verification methodologies
* Experience designing full-custom digital circuits for mixed-signal applications.
* Ability to work cross-functionally with analog, digital, and validation teams.
* Experience with version control systems such as Cliosoft SOS, and Git or SVN.
Preferred Skills
* Familiarity with high-speed ADCs, DACs and PLL and SerDes interfaces such as MIPI, LVDS.
* Experience with UVM and digital verification environments.
* Familiarity with silicon bring-up and post-silicon validation.
* Knowledge of low-power and high-performance mixed-signal architectures.
* Experience defining or improving company-wide mixed-signal methodologies.
