They have in-house engineering and manufacturing capabilities and develop customized nozzles, injectors, and spray assemblies to meet specific customer requirements.
To support the increasing demand for customer-specific mechanical integrations, they are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong hands-on and solution-oriented mindset.
The role:
* Design mechanical integration solutions for application modules within customer production lines.
* Develop concepts that ensure optimal performance, ease of maintenance, and compliance with relevant safety and CE regulations.
* Integrate features such as protective housings, adjustable positioning systems, overspray management, and modular or removable components for servicing.
* Prepare detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
* Deliver customized solutions for complex customer requirements while contributing to the development of standardized design elements to reduce cost and lead times.
* Work closely with mechanical designers and application specialists to develop complete system solutions.
* Support the wider mechanical engineering team with design tasks across different product lines, depending on workload and expertise.
* Visit customer sites to assess production environments and ensure smooth mechanical integration of solutions.
* Select suitable components and suppliers for mechanical constructions.
* Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and ensure accurate entry into the ERP system once projects are confirmed.
* Support cost calculations for mechanical integration solutions.
* Contribute to quotations and proposals using internal costing and quotation tools.
Your profile & qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
* 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within machine building or industrial system integration.
* Proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
* Experience with design automation (e.g. iLogic in Inventor) is a strong asset.
* Ability to perform basic mechanical strength calculations is an advantage.
* Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing methods, and safety standards.
* Experience with BOM management and ERP systems.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and communicating with customers.
* Practical, structured, and solution-oriented approach.
Additional requirements
* Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site evaluations.
* Awareness of cost control and design-for-manufacturing principles.
