We are looking for a Business Controller to join a highly ambitious, technology-driven organisation operating in the industrial automation and robotics space. This is a hands-on, analytical role where finance is fully embedded in the core of operations, projects, and production.
You will act as a key financial partner to operational and engineering teams, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and continuous improvement across all financial processes.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will take ownership of financial performance within a dynamic industrial environment, including:
* Preparing and maintaining financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow planning
* Performing detailed variance analysis (actuals vs budget/forecast) and identifying risks & opportunities
* Monitoring project and operational costs, accruals, and financial performance throughout the month
* Supporting month-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy of provisions and reporting
* Developing and maintaining financial KPIs and dashboards to support decision-making
* Working closely with operational managers to drive cost efficiency and margin improvement
* Ensuring accuracy of financial data, master data, and reporting systems
* Supporting pricing, invoicing, and revenue/cost alignment processes
* Contributing to continuous improvement of financial tools, systems, and processes
What we’re looking for
* Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or similar
* Proven experience in controlling
* Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting
* Comfortable working with ERP systems and advanced Excel
* Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and structured thinking
* Ability to communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
* Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-evolving environment
* Fluent in English and Dutch
