As an AI/ML Engineer you bring AI to life by designing, building and optimizing intelligent applications that serve end users. You develop GenAI features, craft robust backend systems and APIs, and collaborate with data and ML engineers to scale impactful models. You ensure our AI runs smoothly, stays cost‑efficient, and keeps pushing the boundaries by experimenting with new capabilities that shape our customer‑facing GenAI roadmap.
What you’ll do
* Build GenAI agents, workflows and backend services using LLMs such as OpenAI or open‑source models.
* Align AI capabilities with real business value and user needs.
* Translate customer pain points into smart, scalable technical solutions.
* Implement guardrails and fallback mechanisms, optimizing for cost, speed and stability.
* Collaborate with Data/ML Engineers, frontend, QA and product teams across the full AI lifecycle.
* Share best practices through internal libraries, design patterns and Luminus’ Data & AI Community.
What you bring
* Strong programming skills in Python and experience with frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
* Hands‑on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) and model evaluation.
* Comfortable working with APIs, cloud services and DevOps pipelines.
* Sharp analytical mindset focused on robustness and maintainability.
* Clear communication and a collaborative approach.
* Fluent in English; Dutch fluency preferred, French an advantage.
