For our Belgian subsidiary in Puurs, we are looking for a Category & Trade Manager MDA who will further shape and strengthen our product strategy and brand positioning across the various sales channels.
As Category & Trade Manager MDA, you are responsible for developing, managing and optimising the product and brand strategy for major domestic appliances within Smeg Belgium. You work closely with your colleagues in the marketing team, the sales team and our product managers in Italy, and you are responsible for both strategy and execution.
Market analysis: collecting and analysing market data (Applia) and consumer insights, conducting competition analysis and monitoring trends in order to identify opportunities and support strategic decisions.
Product launches: planning and coordinating new product introductions on the Belgian market.
Assortment management: building a logical and attractive product range in line with the brand positioning and market needs, tailored to the different sales channels.
Channel management: defining the right distribution strategy and supporting the different sales channels in close collaboration with the sales team.
Forecasting: submitting the monthly forecasts in SAP – in consultation with the key account managers – to ensure optimal product availability and inventory planning at all times.
Trade marketing: developing tools and materials to support sales, such as price lists, catalogues, POS material, shop-in-shop furniture, etc.
Promotion planning: designing and following up promotion plans in cooperation with marketing and sales for the categories assigned to you.
International collaboration: maintaining close contacts with the various product managers at Smeg headquarters in Italy and with your fellow category managers in the main EU countries.
Master’s degree in marketing, economics or an equivalent field.
At least 5 years of experience in category management or trade marketing, preferably in the home appliances / consumer electronics sector.
Strong analytical skills and a sharp insight into market and consumer data.
Fluent in Dutch, French and English; knowledge of Italian is an asset.
