Job:
The [Sr.] Business Controller serves as a global finance leader, responsible for driving strategic financial planning, business performance management, and supporting executive decision-making. This role oversees the consolidation of global business performance, provides forward-looking analysis, and ensures that financial ambitions align with the company’s long-term strategy. The [Sr.] Business Controller reports and partners closely with the CFO, regional controllers and finance Managers, and Site General Managers to deliver insights that improve profitability, growth, and cash generation.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Financial Reporting and Budget Planning
 * Lead the Strategic Ambition Plan (2026–2030), including development of assumptions, financial targets, and validation of plant submissions.
 * Drive global budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
 * Consolidate and analyze performance across plants (Belgium, Romania, US) and business lines, providing actionable insights to senior management.
 * Own and improve global KPIs (EBITDA, cash flow, working capital, ROI).
 * Develop and maintain financial models to support scenario planning and investment decisions.
 * Ensure robust governance for standard costing, transfer pricing, and group financial policies.
 * Support the CFO in board presentations, investor discussions, and strategic reviews.
Business Partnering
 * Provide leadership and mentoring to local controllers, building a strong financial community across geographies.
 * Drive continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency, and business partnering.
Organization
· Reporting to the CFO of BMT Aerospace
Requirements
 * Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration [Master degree preferred but not a must]
 * 5-10+ years of progressive finance/controlling experience, ideally with international exposure.
 * Deep knowledge of manufacturing finance, standard costing, and transfer pricing.
 * Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial data to strategic impact.
 * Advanced skills in ERP systems (SAP preferred), Excel, and financial modeling.
 * Proven leadership and influencing skills in a global, cross-cultural environment in the Aerospace industry preferred.
 * Excellent communication and presentation skills in Dutch/English.
 * Flexibility to travel ~5-10%
