Then you might be the Project Manager we're looking for!Job descriptionIn this role, you will be responsible for driving the ISO 27001 program end-to-end: from gap analysis and roadmap definition to certification support and continuous compliance.You will work closely with IT, security, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure information security controls are effectively designed, implemented, and embedded across the organization.Responsibilities:ISO 27001 Program ManagementLead the implementation, certification, and ongoing maintenance of an ISO/IEC 27001‐compliant ISMSDefine and manage program scope, milestones, timelines, and dependenciesCoordinate external certification and surveillance audits with accredited auditorsGovernance, Risk & ComplianceConduct or coordinate gap analyses, risk assessments, and maturity assessmentsEnsure alignment with related frameworks and regulations (e.g., NIS2, DORA, GDPR, internal security policies)Maintain core ISMS documentation, including policies, procedures, risk register, Statement of Applicability, and improvement plansStakeholder & Change ManagementAct as the central point of contact for ISO 27001 across IT, business, and audit stakeholdersSupport control owners in implementing, operating, and evidencing security controlsPromote awareness and adoption of information security practices across teamsContinuous ImprovementMonitor ISMS performance and identify improvement opportunitiesTrack non‐conformities, corrective actions, and management actions to ensure timely closurePrepare management reporting and support periodic management reviewsYou'll work 2–3 days on-site in Leuven, Mechelen or Brussels, the remaining days working remotely.ProfileYou are an experienced information security or compliance program manager with strong, hands‐on ISO/IEC 27001 expertise.You excel at leading cross‐functional initiatives, collaborating effectively with auditors and regulators, and navigating complex, highly regulated environments.Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience in security, risk, or compliance program managementHands‐on ISO/IEC 27001 implementation and/or certification experienceStrong understanding of ISMS concepts (risk management, Annex A controls, internal audits)Experience working with auditors or regulatorsISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor certificationExperience with related standards or frameworks (ISO 22301, ISO 27701, COBIT, ITIL)You communicate fluently in Dutch and English.What do we offer?At Brunel, you get more than just challenging projects.
