Your new roleIn this position, you take responsibility for a wide range of accounting activities for the Belgian entity. You ensure accurate daily operations, support internal stakeholders and guarantee timely reporting. Your tasks include:
1. Managing daily accounting entries, reconciliations and general ledger activities
2. Preparing periodic VAT and other Belgian tax filings
3. Ensuring timely month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closings
4. Drafting balance sheet overviews and profit and loss statements
5. Supporting statutory reporting and annual accounts
6. Coordinating with internal teams to deliver accurate reporting packages
7. Reviewing financial transactions and supporting strong internal accounting controls
8. Acting as a key user for the ERP system (SAP) and contributing to process improvements
You work closely with the Accounting Manager while collaborating with colleagues across finance, operations and tax.Your profileThe ideal candidate has a solid background in accounting and enjoys working in a fast‑moving, digital‑oriented environment. You bring:
9. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
10. Around 5 years of experience, ideally gained within a Big 4 or an international company
11. Strong knowledge of Belgian accounting standards and tax concepts
12. Experience with SAP or another major ERP system
13. Fluency in Dutch and English
14. Excellent analytical skills, accuracy and a strong sense of ownership
15. The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team
16. A structured, proactive and solution‑oriented mindset
