Overview
What success looks like in this role: We're looking for a motivated Network/Security Specialist with a strong focus on networking to help deliver security projects, including large‑scale encryption networks. You'll be involved in the full lifecycle—designing, testing, deploying, and troubleshooting solutions—while advising clients on security matters. This role requires regular onsite presence at our Diegem office/lab, the ability to work independently, and a strong interest in networking and security. Key Responsibilities
* Network and security analysis: review network and security capabilities, assess security posture, detailed analysis of data flows and processes
* System administration: create proof‑of‑concept environments, set up and administer lab environment, day‑to‑day operation of the lab environment, troubleshooting
* Automation: automate security infrastructure testing, automate staging/pre‑provisioning
* Testing: test and troubleshoot new equipment, validate operational procedures/manuals, roll‑out of solutions (staging/pre‑provisioning/deployment)
* Migration support: assist, implement and guide migration to new solutions, higher‑level support for migrations and delivered solutions
* Documentation: create and maintain operational procedures and manuals, report drafting (activity report, test report), issue tracking and follow‑up with vendors and partners
* Assists with move execution, transitions, implementations, and migrations; gather, analyze and manage requirements (legal/business/technical)
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science, combined with relevant professional experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch and/or French is considered an asset.
* Must be prepared to work onsite at the office/lab in Diegem for multiple days per week.
* Strong problem‑solving skills and eagerness to learn.
* Knowledge of computer networking and network security.
* Some experience with network infrastructure deployment and maintenance is a plus.
* Experience with Linux (CLI and network configuration).
* Familiarity with automation tools (such as Ansible) and scripting languages (like bash or python) is an advantage.
