We’re looking for a senior leader to drive the strategy, structure, and evolution of Web Engineering at Mediagenix. You will guide distributed agile teams, shape our technology stack, and ensure our platforms are scalable, efficient, and future-ready. This is a pivotal role, balancing hands-on technical leadership with cross-functional collaboration and long-term vision.

* Technology Leadership
You will lead the adoption and refinement of modern engineering practices, ensuring quality across all stages of delivery—design, development, automated testing, CI/CD, tooling, and deployment. Our stack includes Ruby on Rails, Kotlin, React, Angular, Kafka, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Docker. You will evaluate and evolve this stack to reduce duplication, close capability gaps, and unlock new opportunities (e.g., mobile, AI tooling, accessibility).
* Testing & Reliability
You will drive a culture of test automation—unit, integration, and load testing—to support high-quality, scalable delivery. Platform reliability, observability, and performance under load will be key focus areas. You will lead the shift towards more aligned technologies and practices across squads, managing change thoughtfully and ensuring teams evolve together rather than in silos.
* Cross-functional Collaboration
You will work closely with architects, product managers, designers, and engineering leads to build alignment and clarity. Open communication and shared ownership will be central to your approach.
* Operational Excellence
You will improve platform observability through better monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis. You will lead efforts to move toward zero-downtime deployments, support high-frequency releases, and ensure operations are well-understood and managed.
* Security & Compliance
You will ensure that engineering practices meet security, legal, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC2). Proactive risk identification and mitigation will be part of your responsibilities.

* You have proven experience leading engineering teams in complex, fast-moving environments, with a strong technical background in scalable systems and modern development practices.
* You have experience with test automation, operational reliability (high availability, 24/7, worldwide presence), and deployment models (continuous, blue/green).
