Requirement Engineer - English mandatory - ALTEN Belgium
The position
As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Requirement Engineer / Scrum Master to join our teams and work on client projects located in Brussels.
As a Requirement Engineer, your main responsibilities will include :
* Elicit and define system/software requirements by interacting with stakeholders (Product Owners, UX/UI teams, developers)
* Document and review high-quality requirements for regional software services
* Analyze potential design issues and propose practical, logical solutions
* Lead requirement reviews and reach stakeholder consensus
* Act as Scrum Master: coordinate backlog, lead sprint ceremonies, track progress, and remove blockers
* Communicate project status effectively to stakeholders and management
* Support the team during workload peaks (manual and automated testing, process/toolchain improvements)
* Coordinate toward key milestones, including requirement freeze and development/testing timelines
* Contribute to project planning and team coordination with increasing ownership over time
Your Profile
* Master’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Systems, Software, or related field)
* 2+ years of experience in requirement engineering, system design, or agile project coordination
* Proficient in requirement and project management tools (e.g., Codebeamer, Jama, Jira)
* Strong understanding of system engineering and agile methodology (Scrum)
* Experience with software testing (manual/automated) is a plus
* Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a plus
* Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Self-driven, structured, and able to take initiative
* Strong team player with leadership potential
