We are looking for an experienced Cloud & DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us manage the infrastructure for a banking application hosted on IBM Cloud and deployed with OpenShift and Terraform. The application must comply with IBM Financial services certification, which is based on NIST 800-53 Rev 4 requirements, so security, automation, and compliance are key aspects of the role.
Responsibilities
* Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure on IBM Cloud using Terraform and Helm charts.
* Administer and support OpenShift clusters, ensuring scalability, security, high availability, and cost efficiency.
* Implement and enforce security best practices to comply with IBM Financial Services certification, financial regulations, and customer compliance requirements.
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure and applications using tools such as Dynatrace.
* Automate deployment and configuration processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational risks.
* Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure best practices are followed in cloud deployments.
* Contribute to incident management and resolution, ensuring high availability and performance of our solution.
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong hands‑on experience with enterprise cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud) and their core services.
* Proven experience deploying and managing production with OpenShift or Kubernetes and its ecosystem.
* Expertise in Terraform including module development, state management, and infrastructure testing.
* Track record designing and enforcing security controls.
* Proficiency in automation and DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, scripting, etc.).
* Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, dynamic cloud environment.
Nice‑to‑Have
* Experience in a regulated financial environment.
* Familiarity with IBM Cloud, Security & Compliance tools.
* Experience with policy as code tools (Kyverno, OPA Gatekeeper, …).
* Familiarity with container security scanning tools.
* Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Dynatrace, Grafana, DataDog, Elastic, …
* Knowledge of SIEM solutions and security monitoring tools.
