Supply planning global process manager

The role of the Supply Planning Global Process Manager is to design, maintain and manage the Supply Planning process within the framework mandated by the Supply & Production Planning Global Process Director. The role will require working in collaboration with other team members within the end-to-end Planning GPO team and the markets/sites, where required.

This role will be expected to take a lead role for the Supply Planning process, in particular:

1. Act as champion of the Global Process / System (ERP) template from a Supply Planning process perspective.

2. Understand and articulate business requirements, analyze design options, seek out and assess solution simplification opportunities where business case justification exists, in alignment with the vision set by the Supply & Production Planning Global Process Director.

3. Monitor template adoption and adherence and drive the business towards common, standard global solutions.

4. Work with the Principal Functional Consultants and appropriate third parties to understand new technology opportunities in the marketplace (cutting and leading edge) and assess if and how they will improve the Supply Planning process. Provide recommendations and suggestions for improvements to the Supply & Production Planning Global Process Director.

5. Under the guidance of the Supply & Production Planning Global Process Director, benchmark against peers to validate GSK’s pace of technological advancement and understand how other organisations are gaining cost and efficiencies through tech.

6. Displays deep, specialist expertise and knowledge of their processes and systems. Interacts with upstream/downstream business processes to ensure alignment.

7. Leads identification, communication and deployment of best practices.

8. Optimizes the use of ERP to support the business process.

9. Continuously Improves end-to-end Business Process Services.

10. Supports business case review and development for proposed template & process changes.

11. Measures and improves “in-place and in use” – facilitate user adoption of standard ERP functionality.

12. Develops preventative actions to stop process failures.

13. Supports the creation and control of all business process related documentation, standards and SOPs.

14. Monitors process adherence.

Basic Qualifications:

15. Deep, specialist expertise and knowledge of the Supply Planning Business process (outlined in Appendix) and how this interacts with other SC Business processes.

16. Strong OMP Supply Planning experience (Operational experience and functional understanding).

17. Strong experience of working on transformational global programmes, preferably with process and SAP experience.

18. Supply Planning analytical experience (in order to identify Process/System/Data inefficiencies/opportunities).

19. Senior stakeholder management skills and experience engaging business customers.

20. Supply Chain experience in Pharma/Vaccines or similar.

21. Excellent understanding of the Supply Planning process in CCC (Core Commercial Cycle) and good understanding of the overall CCC process.

22. A good understanding of project management principles and tools.

23. Ability to lead definition of business cases for change.

24. Able to manage multifunctional, broad-based/diverse teams.

25. Broad ranging business experience gained over a number of years at a management level and covering a number of areas/functions.

26. Experience of Supply Planning performance measures and common mitigation steps.

27. Career at one of the leading global healthcare companies.
