As a Lead C++ Software Engineer, you drive the design and delivery of high‑performance, scalable software systems. You work closely with customers to resolve issues and ensure reliable, high‑quality outcomes.
You Are Responsible For
Designing robust, scalable C++ solutions with a strong focus on performance, maintainability, and cross‑component integration.
Taking end‑to‑end ownership of delivery, ensuring predictable planning, clear milestones, and reliable execution.
Driving the team toward delivery outcomes by providing technical direction, removing blockers, ensuring accountability, and fostering a strong getting‑things‑done mentality.
Challenging and refining requirements with product analysts to ensure clarity, feasibility, and delivery readiness.
Ensuring technical correctness, including performance and scalability, while collaborating with QA to enable strong automation and fast feedback loops.
Working closely with customers to understand issues, drive fast resolutions, and guarantee the solution’s real‑world robustness.
Your team
As a Lead Software Engineer you’ll join the software development team within the Product Development organization. Product Development consists of specialized teams focused on domains such as demand and supply planning, user experience, data science, integration, solvers, and more. These teams drive our product roadmap, share OMP’s vision and expertise, and create smart, robust, and scalable software solutions that solve our customers’ complex supply‑chain planning challenges.
About You
Essential talents and qualifications:
A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
At least 10 years of experience in a C++ software engineering role.
Excellent algorithmic and conceptual thinking.
A generalist knowledge of different technologies and curiosity to stay up to date with diverse technology stacks.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Pride in the high‑quality software you design.
Bonus Points If You Have
Relevant experience in cloud‑native technologies, streaming frameworks, service‑oriented architecture, and API development.
Experience working in remote teams.
Knowledge of testing systems.
