About The Tribe
Customer Onboarding & Interactions Tribe (COI) aims to continuously improve the quality of all services related to onboarding customers for all existing and new Euroclear business products. The Tribe is responsible for all movement related to the associated reference data and corporate packages used to interact with external entities. It manages all communication channels (email, account models, our group CRM solution, and other client-facing systems), product and service catalogue, customer subscriptions, and the My Euroclear portal.
As a
Tribe Test Engineer (TTE)
, you are the
quality leader
within the Tribe, responsible for defining and executing the testing strategy and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards. This is a
transversal role
, requiring strong collaboration and communication skills to engage with
Practice Leads, test leads, testers, Tribe leadership, and other key profiles
. You will
coach and mentor junior test engineers

drive continuous improvement initiatives and
animate the Testing Community of Practice

Key Responsibilities
* Own the Tribe Testing Vision: Define and maintain the testing strategy (in line with the Division test policy), covering functional and non-functional aspects.
* Ensure Quality at Scale: Implement quality gates at Story, Feature, and Release levels to maintain high standards.
* Coach and Develop Talent: Actively mentor testers in all squads, guiding them on best practices, tools, and Agile testing principles. Review and validate squad-level test strategies to ensure consistency and quality.
* Lead Continuous Improvement: Identify and drive initiatives to improve testing processes, automation coverage, and overall quality maturity.
* Animate the Testing Community of Practice: Organize and lead knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, and forums to promote good practices and innovation in testing.
* Collaborate with multiple squads and stakeholders to embed quality at scale and manage dependencies across the Tribe: Act as a trusted advisor to Practice Leads, testers, Tribe leadership, and other roles, ensuring alignment on quality objectives.
* Lead Test Activities on Complex and Critical Initiatives. Coordinate test activities for complex projects with test colleagues in other tribes and other divisions to manage dependencies impacting testing.
* Define Test Infrastructure Needs: Work closely with the Test Environment Manager to ensure robust environments and maintain test data governance.
* Drive Automation Strategy: Create and execute a roadmap for test automation, enabling Squads to adopt a shift-left mindset and manage automated tests independently.
* Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with external testing vendors, ensuring service quality, compliance with standards, and cost-effectiveness.
* Promote a CI/CD Mindset: Actively contribute to problem-solving and pipeline optimization integrating automation testing.
Core Activities
* Validate delivered Features against the Agile test strategy and acceptance criteria.
* Support Features refinement and define Feature-level test strategies (HLTLS) as needed.
* Contribute to Definition of Ready and Definition of Done for Features.
* Review Squad-level testing results and report quality status and risks to Tribe leadership.
* Prepare Tribe Test report for Go/No-Go release meeting
* Attend Scrum of Scrums to manage dependencies within and outside the Tribe.
* Promote extension of test coverage continuously for product/service quality.
* Ensure performance and security testing against non-functional requirements.
* Propose testing metrics to report on Quality and contribute to global Tribe health check.
* Organize and lead Testing Community of Practice activities: workshops, demos, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
* Introduce innovative testing techniques and tools to keep the Tribe at the forefront of quality engineering.
Qualifications
* Experience in crafting test strategies and supervising integration tests activities on multi-platform & sophisticated environments (multi sites)
* Knowledge of principles and best practices of test automation in agile (selectivity, maintenance, collaboration, UI framework, …)
* Strong analytical mind-set with the ability to extract relevant information from documentation, system data, clients and colleagues and analyse the captured information.
* ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software testing
* If possible, experience in the financial industry, knowledge of trade settlements and the terms/terminology used.
