About the Tribe
Within GDC, you will join the Solutions Architecture team in the Software Engineering Tribe. Here, you will play a crucial role in defining the target architecture and leading the design of end-to-end solutions for initiatives across various GDC domains with a focus on our COI domain and driving the evolution of the Architecture Practice as a whole.
Customer Onboarding & Interactions Tribe (COI) aims to continuously improve the quality of all services related to onboarding customers for all existing and new Euroclear business products. The Tribe is responsible for all movement related to the associated reference data and corporate packages used to interact with external entities. It manages all communication channels (email, account models, our group CRM solution, and other client-facing systems), product and service catalogue, customer subscriptions, and the My Euroclear portal.
Role Responsibilities
1. Architectural Leadership: Define and implement end-to-end architecture solutions for IT initiatives, ensuring they meet functional, non-functional, and security requirements.
2. Collaboration: Work with requirement owners, domain architects, and IT engineers to build high-quality solutions.
3. Integration: Bridge the gap between Enterprise Architecture and IT delivery teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and domain target architectures.
4. Community Contribution: Develop reusable solution patterns and building blocks and actively drive the evolution of Solution Architecture and Software Engineering practices.
5. Technology Expertise: Apply hands-on technology and delivery experience to define domain target architectures and roadmaps focussed on the COI domain.
6. Innovation: Lead the design of new technology solutions within the Software Engineering Department, covering mainframe and open platforms, software development tools, application integration middleware, and infrastructure design.
7. Knowledge Sharing: Take the lead in communities of practice with other architects to share standard methodologies and lessons learned.
Profile Requirements
8. Minimum 10 years of experience in the IT industry, particularly as a solution architect on large-scale transformation projects.
9. Agile and DevOps: Experience with large-scale agile projects and DevOps practices, including CI/CD. Knowledge of agile working at scale and methods such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) would be beneficial.
10. Architectural Skills: Proficiency in Event Driven and Service-based architectures, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
11. Certification in Architecture (TOGAF or similar)
12. Technical Knowledge: Experience in technology stack – Windows/DotNet/Angular/PEGA/Azure/Adobe /Kafka/SQL/Mainframe backends Experience in products like PING, CRM (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics), Portals, KYC. Familiarity with integration and data technologies, and experience with JavaScript front-end frameworks like Angular is advantageous.
13. Complex Problem Solving: Ability to handle complex systems and problems across functions, locations, and organizations.
14. Autonomy: Capable of conducting architectural analysis and providing pragmatic suggestions with minimal mentorship.
15. Strategic and Technical Balance: Ability to work on high-level strategic documents and zoom in on technical implementation challenges.
16. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to break down complex problems and provide actionable solutions.
17. Pragmatism: Focus on delivering fit-for-purpose results using a pragmatic approach.
18. Innovation and Change: Identify the need for change and propose innovative solutions to improve IT delivery processes.
19. Communication: Strong communication skills to advocate for architectural recommendations to project teams and senior management.
20. Mentorship: Ability to build positive relationships and mentor new team members in solutions architecture.
21. Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of post-trade market infrastructures and Enterprise Architecture frameworks (. Open Agile Architecture) is a plus.
22. Financial Services: Experience in the Financial Services industry and a good understanding of COI processes and the related regulatory environments is beneficial.
23. Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required.
