About the Role We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect (Freelance) to join our client’s multidisciplinary team, driving the architecture for a high-impact regional recovery program in Belgium. You will play a pivotal role in shaping IT solutions for the digital transformation of public finance, ensuring robust, scalable, and future-ready systems. What You’ll Be Doing Lead architectural design and strategy for the regional recovery program, collaborating closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and development teams. Translate complex business requirements into modular, integrated IT solutions that maximize efficiency and agility while minimizing development and maintenance costs. Model and document architectural decisions in the organization’s architectural repository, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams. Advise and guide development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and promoting innovative, future-proof solutions. Define, promote, and enforce compliance with technical standards, and proactively manage the evolution of the application portfolio. Ensure optimal technical integration of new components and technologies, maintaining system coherence, performance, and security. Oversee architectural monitoring of projects, coordinating with project managers and transversal IT teams. Contribute to enterprise architecture, proposing reusable cross-functional services in line with SOA principles. Lead audits and reviews of Java code and architectural components to ensure quality and compliance. What We’re Looking For Proven experience as a Senior Solution Architect, with a strong track record in designing and implementing complex IT systems. French or Dutch language skills are a strong advantage. Other Requirements Experience working in multidisciplinary teams within complex program environments. Familiarity with SOA principles and enterprise architecture frameworks. Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
