The opportunity
For our CFO Consulting team, we are looking for experienced professionals excited about growing their careers through assisting clients in transforming the finance function through process optimization, target operating model design and implementation of finance systems, as well as innovative topics such as predictive analytics in business planning and interactive dashboarding for management reporting. By providing end‑to‑end support and transformations, you will play a key role in building the future of finance.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant, you will collaborate with clients to understand challenges, implement tailored solutions, and contribute to the competence team and EY overall. You will serve key banking and insurance clients, delivering strategic business insights, dynamic management reporting, and improved finance operations efficiency.
* Design the target finance operating model
* Improve the closing, consolidation and reporting cycle through technology
* Enhance the decision‑making process by optimizing budgeting and forecasting processes
* Support implementation of finance tools (accounting, controlling, reporting, and visualization tools)
* Design and monitor transition roadmaps to drive change in finance teams
Skills and Attributes for Success
* Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., applied economics, commercial engineering) or equivalent experience
* 1 to 4 years of relevant experience in a finance environment as team member, auditor, or consultant
* Knowledge of accounting & reporting in financial services is a plus
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
* Solid communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
* Ability to translate complex topics into clear communication for a broad audience
* Proficient business English and fluent in Dutch or French
* Positive and entrepreneurial spirit
