He aha te mahi? What's the role?
Based in Zeebrugge, the Quality Support Officer is responsible for controlling and managing the fruit quality in Belgium and making sure the 3PL performs, through auditing, in line with Zespri's quality requirements. The officer will also support team members and different stake holders on quality-related questions.
Key Responsibilities
* Take care of vessel and container discharge audits for Zeebrugge to ensure during unloading the quality of the fruit is monitored based on various pre-defined parameters.
* Create and submit vessel discharge reports and audits.
* Measure 3PL performance on the different quality processes through adequate auditing and reporting
* Support on quality audits in the packhouse to guarantee the best possible quality outcome of our production
* In case of insurance claims, communicate, participate in inspection and follow up with ops quality members
* Work with 3PL and supply them with required information and documentation to ensure they can perform the agreed activities.
* Provide training and ensure required information is documented and available to the business and 3PL.
* Follow up on trials, food safety and execute sampling for the compliance dept.
* Ensure quality is monitored and communicated within the team. Highlight focus points, non-compliances and other attention points.
* Support the Operations & Logistics Manager and support colleagues.
* Act as a back-up for colleagues in the team during absence.

We are looking for an independent team player who will be based in Zeebrugge. You will also meet the following criteria:
* Possess a valid Belgian Driver's License
* Proficiency in operating MS Office and preferably knowledge of warehouse & quality management systems
* Proficiency in English and Dutch language.
* Experience level with quality standards and/or auditing within the fruit business and working in an international production environment is an advantage
* Strong understanding of product quality within the supply chain and its impact
* Good collaboration skills for liaising with team members and 3PL partners
* Ability to apply right analysis based on information available with a comprehensive outcome.
