Position Description:
We’re looking for several dynamics, hands‑on Field Engineers who love being on the move and making a real impact. You’ll be the go‑to IT expert on the field, resolving on‑site issues, driving key initiatives and ensuring smooth operations across multiple locations.
Your role in our team
Your day will alternate between troubleshooting, equipment preparation, project deployment and collaborating with CGI, our international customer ‘s IT and local site managers. This position is ideal for someone with 3–4 years of experience who enjoys autonomy, variation, and direct impact on end users.
On Site Support & Daily Operations
• Resolve first and second line incidents that cannot be handled remotely.
• Install, configure or replace laptops, desktops, printers and peripherals.
• Perform manual software installations and application configurations.
• Support onboarding/offboarding activities (workstation setup, access checks
• Troubleshoot network or hardware issues (Wi Fi, cabling, faulty devices).
Project Delivery & Deployment
•Participate in the Network Refresh
•Support the Windows 11 upgrade
•Install new infrastructure (servers, UPS systems, network components).
•Verify project results on site
Collaboration & Coordination
•Work closely with Service Desk for escalated on site incidents
•Cooperate with Modern Workplace Team
•Partner with Network Operations for network renewal and troubleshooting.
•Align with customer IT and local site managers for access and practical arrangements.
Documentation & Reporting
•Maintain clear work instructions and site-specific documentation.
•Contribute to process improvement and backlog reduction through documentation.
•Close tickets with accurate reporting and root-cause notes.
Logistics & Preparation
•Preconfigure hardware (laptops, routers, Fortigates) at the central location
•Handle transport or coordination of equipment to various sites
•Maintain stock of spare devices and network components.
Quality & Continuity
•Follow CGI standards and ITIL processes for interventions.
•Validate prerequisites before major tasks (e.g. OneDrive migration before W11 upgrade
•Identify and escalate structural issues across sites (e.g., aging UPS, security risks
How you strengthen our team
•3–4 years of experience in a Field Engineer or similar IT support role
•Strong troubleshooting skills and autonomy on-site
•Experience with Infrastructure, hardware setup, Windows OS, networking basics
•Customer focused and comfortable interacting with branch staff
•Driver’s license
•4 days /week onsite
•Native French or Dutch with fluent communication in English
