Our client, a dynamic and rapidly expanding Real Estate company situated in the heart of Brussels, is currently in the process of expanding its international presence. To facilitate this growth, they are actively seeking a Head of Finance to become an integral part of their Brussels-based team.
As Head of Finance, you will assume a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding all financial activities within the organization. Your primary responsibilities will encompass the strategic management of financial operations, thus significantly contributing to the company's overall success. You will collaborate closely with the executive team and various stakeholders, actively driving financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and analysis while ensuring strict adherence to financial regulations.
Responsibilities:
Financial operations :
1. Establish and maintain financial operations processes and tools
2. Monitor the application of financial reporting guidelines
3. Provide financial guidance to other departments to support decision-making processes
Budgeting and reporting :
4. Develop and maintain monthly budget follow-up reports
5. Collaborate with all departments to develop the yearly budget based on cost and revenue analysis and input from every department
6. Create and maintain other reports as needed, such as board reports
Financing and strategy :
7. Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for daily operations and long-term investments
8. Assist the CFO in raising bank debt to finance growth and expansion
9. Analyzes and evaluate potential M&A opportunities to support the growth strategy
Accounting :
10. Oversee all aspects of accounting activities, including billing, cost accounting, and revenue recognition
11. Ensure accurate and timely monthly closings in compliance with local GAAP
12. Prepare quarterly consolidated (IFRS) figures to report to shareholders
13. Manage the company's tax compliance to ensure it is complying all applicable tax regulations
14. Maintain and strengthen internal controls
Profile:
15. Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
16. At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
17. Strong knowledge of finance, accounting principles, and financial analysis techniques.
18. Excellent communication and time management skills;
19. Fluent in French and professional level of English (Dutch is a plus).
