About the Role
We are looking for a Solution Architect with strong transversal expertise in infrastructure, SDLC (CI/CD), and middleware to help shape the future of Euroclear’s technology landscape. You will design robust, scalable architectures, ensure alignment with enterprise standards, and act as a bridge between Enterprise Architecture, CISO, delivery teams, and business stakeholders.
This role is key to driving architectural consistency, supporting agile delivery, and contributing to our Communities of Practice (SA COP) to share knowledge and best practices.
What You’ll Do
1. Design & Blueprint:
Define system architectures, standards, guidelines, and reusable design patterns —ensuring strong, resilient architectural patterns are applied across our epic solutions.
2. Collaborate & Influence:
Act as liaison between architects, technical leads, application owners, and business teams.
3. Governance & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to architecture principles (patterns and standards) and trigger governance bodies when deviations occur.
4. Support Delivery:
Act as Feature Engineer for end-to-end design solutions meeting functional, non-functional, security, and resilience requirements.
5. Prototype & Innovate:
Build proof-of-concepts to validate new architectural approaches.
6. Community Engagement:
Actively participate in SA COP and contribute to architectural knowledge sharing.
7. Agile Contribution:
Join ceremonies (., backlog refinement, sprint reviews) to provide architectural guidance.
Responsibilities
8. Deliver coherent IT solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
9. Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and business needs.
10. Collaborates and provides input to Enterprise Architecture to shape future technology & technical components (brings hands-on experience).
11. Coordinate solution delivery across teams, ensuring consistency and quality.
12. Conduct design reviews and provide feedback for technical and functional alignment.
13. Present solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
14. Triggers escalation through design governance if needed.
15. Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate new approaches.
16. Estimate implementation effort at the Tribe level.
17. Contributes from the Epic initiation onward, up & until the end of the “warranty” period after production release.
18. Identifies the need for generalization/standardization (beyond epic-specific solutions), defines solution patterns or engineering standards together with the design or engineering teams, get them documented, endorsed by the relevant authorities and published in catalogues.
