Afarax is looking for a freelance Team Leader Life Insurance. Our client in the insurance sector, is seeking an experienced Team Leader Life Insurance to strengthen their team.
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for:
Managing and coaching the team by providing guidance, day-to-day support, and training whenever needed.
Prioritising the team’s weekly workload and ensuring operational continuity.
Identifying opportunities to improve service quality (mail processing, call handling, complaints management, etc.).
Driving team performance by translating departmental goals into clear, measurable targets.
Leading briefings, team meetings, and contributing to projects.
Creating a positive, motivating environment where team members can grow and fully develop their skills.
Co-creating the team strategy with the Life Retail Manager.
Managing the department’s allocated budget.
Analysing potential customer complaints and proposing appropriate solutions.
You hold at least a bachelor’s degree, ideally in insurance or economics.
You are a true expert in life insurance and have an in-depth understanding of operations within this domain.
You have at least 5 years of experience in the life insurance sector.
You demonstrate solid leadership experience, inspiring trust and fostering a collaborative, performance-driven culture.
You are fluent in French or Dutch and have a very good command of the other national language.
You have strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of lean management is an asset.
You are rigorous, well-organised, and able to manage priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
You have strong communication skills and can effectively manage both internal and external stakeholders.
You possess solid coaching skills and adopt a participative leadership style.
