About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and reliable Freelance Electromechanical Maintenance Technician to support maintenance operations within the Food & Beverage manufacturing sector. This is a contract-based opportunity ideal for a hands-on professional with strong troubleshooting skills and experience working in high-speed production environments.You will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing electromechanical systems to ensure optimal production efficiency and minimal downtime.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machineryDiagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faultsTroubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and automation equipmentMaintain conveyors, pumps, motors, filling machines, packaging lines, and refrigeration systemsEnsure compliance with food safety and hygiene standardsRespond promptly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance callsMaintain accurate service and maintenance recordsSupport equipment installation, commissioning, and upgradesEnsure adherence to health & safety regulations at all timesRequirementsProven experience in electromechanical maintenance within the Food & Beverage industryStrong knowledge of electrical systems, motors, sensors, drives, and PLCsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematicsExperience with automated production and packaging linesRelevant technical qualification (Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics)Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independentlyFlexible availability (including shift work if required)Own tools and transport (preferred)Preferred SkillsExperience with HACCP and GMP environmentsKnowledge of VSDs, servo systems, and industrial automationWelding and fabrication skillsMulti-skilled maintenance backgroundWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly/day rateFlexible contract arrangementsOpportunity to work with leading Food & Beverage manufacturersDynamic and fast-paced production environmentsPotential for long-term contract extensions
