About the job Medior Full Stack Java Developer. This is a consultancy mission delivered by Keystone Solutions for our client. As a Keystone Solutions consultant, you will work closely with the client to build applications specific to the notary profession, ensuring data privacy, information integrity, and security. You will perform all responsibilities and requirements listed below under Keystone Solutions' consultancy model.
Our client develops state‑of‑the‑art solutions to help notaries in their daily activities. They build solutions, platforms, and e‑portals to help notaries and their employees serve citizens and to simplify interactions between notaries, their clients, and public services. The automation and administrative simplification of the notaries' workflow is key to succeeding in this endeavor. The notaries' profession and its legal context create constant and complex challenges. Aspects of data privacy, information integrity, and security make it even more challenging. As a Java Developer, you build applications specific to the notary profession. You are responsible for the development of software that answers to the client's functional and technical expectations. You support your team by bringing your expertise and experience to the table. Your participation in the continuous improvement of processes and the setup of a state‑of‑the‑art development environment is appreciated.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop technical solutions, starting from the functional requirements, and following quality/security/legal guidelines and standards.
* Develop efficient, pragmatic, user friendly, and easy to maintain Java applications.
* Ensure quality (unit/integration tests, documentation, Sonar compliance, OWASP checks).
* Contribute to the development of a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
* Share your experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Maven, REST, JPA, SQL Server.
* Share your experience with Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD in GCP.
* Work in an Agile environment.
Back-end Developer track
Interested in building a good quality product in a micro‑service structure. You have proven experience of Java development with Spring (spring, spring‑boot, spring‑mvc) and Hibernate. You like to share your experience and knowledge with your team to deliver services that are reusable and maintainable.
* Backend side:
* You can create Java applications (Java 21 or higher) with a high standard of quality; create REST API services; use efficiently the Spring ecosystem (spring boot).
* Read and write efficient SQL.
* Coach less experienced developers.
* Share your knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, Maven, REST, JPA, SQL Server. Share your DevOps knowledge of CI/CD and GCP.
* Work with Docker and Kubernetes (nice to have).
Front-end Developer track
Interested in frontend technologies like Angular. You already have professional experience with Angular. You keep yourself up to date and like to share your experiences/knowledge. Delivering a good quality and user friendly product is part of your main objective.
Required Skills And Experience
* Knowledge of REST or SOAP and web technologies.
* Experience with Java, Spring and Hibernate development.
* Knowledge of usual development patterns and object oriented design.
* Experience with SQL (Microsoft SQL Server).
* Knowledge of Domain Driven Design principles is a plus.
* At least 4 years experience as a full stack developer.
Front-end Focus (if Applicable)
* Web technologies experience: REST, HTML/CSS, JavaScript.
* Experience in Angular 2+ developments or good experience in similar framework.
* Experience with frontend development patterns: Smart/Dumb Components, Redux, etc.
* Experience in reactive development: RxJs.
* Knowledge of Angular CLI, Material Design and JavaScript testing is a plus.
You Are
* Fluent in French or Dutch and have at least a passive knowledge of the other language, and you demonstrate a professional proficiency of IT‑related English.

Work Location and Schedule
* Brussels at the client's premises (fixed working days) and homeworking (3 days per week).
* Hybrid working 60% home, 40% in office located near Brussels central station.

* Ability to be on‑site 2 days a week is required (exclusion criteria).

* Skills and levels (most recent experience: this year unless stated): Angular 2+ (Advanced), Hibernate (Intermediate), HTML/CSS (Intermediate), Java (Intermediate), JavaScript (Intermediate), Microsoft SQL Server (Intermediate), ReactiveX - RxJs (Beginner), Redux (Nice to have), REST (Intermediate), Spring (Advanced).
* Languages: Dutch or French (Native or bilingual proficiency), English (Full professional proficiency).
