As a Senior Technical Buyer, you oversee the procurement of technical components, balancing strategic planning with day-to-day purchasing activities. Collaborating closely with engineering, production, and planning teams, you help optimize products and processes. Your expertise in ERP/MRP systems, negotiation, and technical knowledge ensures both short-term efficiency and long-term supply security. Proactive communication and careful administrative coordination with other buyers allow you to secure optimal conditions for production.
* Lead the purchasing and material planning process, ensuring accurate forecasts and effective supply strategies.
* Work with production teams to manage stock levels and reduce lead times, maintaining smooth supply chain operations.
* Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, focusing on prototyping, NPI, and design-for-manufacturing requirements.
* Oversee component quality, collaborating with QA and engineering to address and resolve issues.
* Analyze operational data to identify improvements, support make-or-buy decisions, and drive cost and process optimization.
What we expect from you:
* 7–10 years of experience in technical procurement, with solid knowledge of ERP and MRP systems.
* Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to work in a structured, data-driven manner.
* Expertise in forecasting, rolling forecasts, and strategic negotiation.
* Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
* Proactive, result-oriented mindset, with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
