As a manager Financial Planning & Analytics, you will:
1. Lead and coordinate multi‑year financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for Ageas Re.
2. Develop scenario analyses, sensitivity analyses, and profitability outlooks to support strategic and tactical decision‑
3. Translate strategic objectives into clear financial targets, KPIs, and steering dashboards.
4. Support in‑force value management and new business initiatives with clear financial assessments.
5. Ensure timely, accurate and consistent production of management information in line with Group reporting requirements.
6. Coordinate performance reporting inputs across Finance, Underwriting, Risk and Actuarial; reconcile key figures and explain variances.
7. Maintain robust controls, reconciliations and documentation across reporting processes; contribute to audit‑ready files.
8. Improve report clarity and decision‑orientation (storyline, KPIs, commentary), avoiding duplication and ensuring data quality.
9. Support capital and liquidity forecasting in close coordination with Risk, Actuarial, and Treasury.
10. Analyse capital efficiency, return metrics, and performance drivers at portfolio and entity level.
11. Contribute to performance analytics to assessments of reinsurance structures, and investment‑linked solutions.
12. Drive process excellence, standardisation and automation across planning, reporting and performance management.
13. Act as Finance business owner/contributor for planning and BI tool evolution (requirements, testing, adoption).
14. Promote strong data governance: definitions, lineage, controls and consistency across Finance information flows.
15. Leverage AI and advanced analytics to improve forecasting accuracy, anomaly detection, and automation of recurring analyses and narratives.
16. Ensure human oversight (“human‑in‑the‑loop”) and validate data, assumptions and conclusions before publication.
17. Apply Responsible AI principles: privacy, security, bias awareness, traceability and compliance with internal AI governance standards.
18. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and Ageas Group policies within the scope of responsibility.
19. Contribute to a strong control, risk awareness, and compliance culture within Finance.
20. Act as a Finance counterpart for Internal Audit, Compliance, and external auditors on performance and reporting topics.
21. Act as a trusted Finance business partner to Underwriting, Risk, Actuarial, Operations, and Strategy.
22. Prepare and present clear, decision‑oriented financial insights to senior management forums.
23. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the Finance team.
Your profile
24. Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Actuarial Sciences, or related field.
25. Proven experience in financial planning, performance management, and IFRS‑based reporting.
26. Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a complex, international stakeholder environment.
27. Experience interacting with senior management and auditors.
28. Strong expertise in IFRS reporting, performance steering, and financial analysis.
29. Understanding of reinsurance economics and insurance value drivers.
30. Advanced skills in financial modelling, multi‑year planning, and scenario analysis.
31. Familiarity with Solvency II concepts and capital‑related performance metrics.
32. High proficiency in planning, forecasting, and BI tools, including AI‑enabled analytics where appropriate.
33. Ability to translate complex financial topics into clear, actionable management insights.
34. Practical understanding of AI‑enabled analytics for finance with strong validation discipline.
35. Integrity, sound judgement, constructive challenge capability and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
36. Full professional proficiency in English; additional languages are an asset.
