B.E.S. (Business & Engineering Solutions) is growing and thus welcoming a new Packaging Specialist in our Automotive team.

Context:
Join an exciting automotive project within a major international mobility player, focused on optimizing packaging and logistics operations in the service parts supply chain. You will work closely with an international operational team, ensuring efficient transportation, packaging, and distribution of automotive parts across a large European network. This role offers a great opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic, operational, and continuous improvement driven environment within a complex international supply chain.
Your Responsibilities:
* Send packaging (individual & logistic) requests for assigned parts and accessories, strictly follow up proposals and agree/reject proposals in packaging webtool and CPT (collaborative planning tool), in line with overall project timelines.
* Make and send QPR's for packaging (design) related quality issues, including follow up containment and countermeasures for assigned suppliers.
* Measure parts and packaging for first deliveries (new model projects) including registration of deviations (see also QPR).
* Spend time on the floor to gain in depth understanding of current packaging (individual & logistic), for assigned suppliers in order to generate kaizen idea opportunities and launch requests towards suppliers. Create project plan to monitor progress and to contribute to material consumption reduction of min. 100 CO2 ton.
* Daily follow up of the returnable pallet pool and problem solving in case of shortage and stagnation.
* For all projects, a clear action/time plan including progress governance model to be set up incl. regular review moments with involved teams/management level.
Your Profile:
* Fluent (speaking & writing) English.
* Bachelor Degree in technical, logistics and or commercial area.
* Experience in sustainable packaging solutions is an asset
* Good ability to work with Excel, Access, PBI, and Sharepoint.
* Familiar with operational processess.
* Interest in working on packaging topics and working with external partners.
* Hands-on mentality to go & see on shopfloor to measure, time, analyse, ... .
* Well organised, reliable, and able to work independently.
