We’re now seeking a GL Accountant to join our Finance Team at our headquarters in Antwerp. Your Role: Ensuring Financial Accuracy at the Core As a GL Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance in line with IFRS standards and Manuchar’s accounting policies. You’ll be a trusted finance partner, working cross-functionally with teams across the business, supporting continuous improvement, and contributing to efficient closing processes. Your Key Responsibilities Financial Accuracy & Compliance Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting aligned with IFRS and internal accounting policies Maintain a complete and correct P&L presentation at both G/L and cost center level Support internal and external audit processes, including documentation and audit requests Contribute to internal control testing and compliance initiatives Month-End & Year-End Close Manage all month-end and year-end closing activities Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies Assist with variance analysis and internal/external financial reporting General Ledger Management Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, amortizations, and reclassifications Ensure GL integrity by maintaining accurate and timely financial transactions Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as a go-to contact for accounting guidance across departments Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Controlling, and Consolidation teams to support accurate reporting Advise internal stakeholders on proper transaction coding and financial compliance Continuous Improvement & Standardization Identify and implement efficiency gains and process improvements Support the rollout of automation tools and ERP enhancements (Microsoft D365) Develop and maintain clear and up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures What You Bring to the Table Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance Proven experience in General Ledger accounting within a multinational environment Exposure to cross-functional collaboration and audit support Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement Technical Skills Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and tax regulations Proficient in English and Dutch Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is a plus Solid Excel and financial systems skills You Are Accountable and detail-oriented Flexible and solution-focused A strong communicator with a positive and proactive mindset Passionate about efficiency, accuracy, and customer service Your Network at Manuchar Internal Contacts Global Reporting & Consolidation Manager – Supervision, development, and process improvement Accounts Payable Team – Ongoing collaboration and knowledge sharing Group Controlling & Reporting – Provide financial insights All Departments – Act as an internal advisor on accounting-related matters External Contacts External Auditors – Regular collaboration in support of statutory audits Why Join Manuchar?
