The opportunity
The cycling industry runs on transactions. A bike leaves the shop, the customer
disappears, and the relationship ends before it really begins.
Velopass changes that.
We've built the platform that turns every bike into a lasting customer relationship -
automatically, for life. With 1500+ bike shops across Belgium, Netherlands, and France
using our system daily, we've become the operational standard for bike lifecycle
management.
But scale creates new challenges. And the most exciting one lies ahead: perfecting how
cyclists, shops, and bikes stay connected - for life.
That's where you come in.
What you'll do
As our Product Owner, you're the bridge between what we build and why it creates
value. You combine product ownership with customer insight, translating real world
needs into product decisions that matter.
You'll own:
Product roadmap priorities driven by customer conversations, not assumptions
User stories that solve actual problems for bike shops, lease companies, and insurers
The connection between what we build and how it performs commercially
Experiments that increase adoption and engagement across our platform
You'll spend time:
~ In conversations with bike shops, lease companies, and service providers
~(NL/FR/EN)
~ With the development team, ensuring they understand the "why" behind features
~ Analyzing data to spot patterns in what works and what doesn't
~ Testing hypotheses with real customers in real shops
~ Iterating and improving features based on customer insights
Building the cyclist experience:
You own the cyclist portal - the activation layer that determines our success
You test what makes cyclists actually want to register and actively use their Velopass
You balance "fun to use" with functional value - the portal must delight, not just inform
You measure engagement: What brings cyclists back? What strengthens the shop relationship?
You experiment with features that turn a digital passport into a daily companion
You'll work with:
Our Velopass Pro App - the daily tool for bike technicians and shop managers
The cyclist portal - the QR-activated experience that turns registration into engagement
POS integrations that enable hands-free marketing automation
A multi-stakeholder ecosystem (shops, cyclists, manufacturers, insurers, lease companies)
Who you are
You have:
~3+ years in product ownership, preferably in B2B SaaS or platform environments
~ Experience in customer-facing roles where you regularly engage with clients
~ Fluency in Dutch, French, and English
~ Understanding of complex ecosystems with multiple stakeholders
You are:
Not satisfied with "it works technically" - you want to know if it works commercially.
Energized by customer conversations and translating insights into product improvements
Comfortable switching between strategic thinking and hands-on execution
Someone who understands that bike shops don't wait for perfect - they want solutions that work today
Bonus:
You cycle (e-bike experience is a plus) and understand the industry's passion
Experience with multi-sided platforms or marketplace dynamics
Background in mobility, insurance, retail tech, or regulated industries
