Senior ICT Network Engineer (Freelance)Leuven, Belgium (Hybrid – 3 days onsite/week)Initial 12-month contract + extension Rate: €520 per dayWe are partnering with a leading semiconductor organisation to secure a highly skilled Senior ICT Network Engineer for a long-term freelance opportunity.This role offers the chance to work within a cutting-edge, high-tech environment, supporting critical infrastructure across enterprise and research networks.Key responsibilities:Designing, implementing, and maintaining routing, switching, wireless, and firewall solutionsMonitoring, troubleshooting, and optimising network performance to ensure high availability and securityDriving lifecycle activities (upgrades, migrations, technology refreshes)Supporting infrastructure transformation projects and new site deploymentsCollaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure architecturesContributing to network automation, documentation, and disaster recovery planningImproving operational processes and security controlsExperience:5+ years’ experience in enterprise network engineeringStrong expertise in routing, switching, and wireless networkingSolid understanding of network security principles (segmentation, firewalling, zero trust)Hands-on experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimisationKnowledge of cloud networking and core services (DNS, DHCP, IPAM, AAA, NAC)Strong communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teamsIf this sounds like a good fit, please apply or reach out for a confidential discussion.
