Network and Telecommunications Services Specialist
This position plays a vital role in the Global IT Infrastructure Service Organization, focusing on professional and technical work related to Network and Telecommunications Services.
* As an advanced service supporting specialist, you will be responsible for transitional and operational tasks and duties in support of Network Service implementations across various global network services and solutions (Local Area Network/Wireless, Wide Area Network, Datacenter Network, Internet Edge, and Application Networking Services).
Main Responsibilities:
* Knowledge Management: Ensure effective knowledge sharing and documentation within the team.
* Change Management: Oversee changes to existing systems and processes to minimize disruptions.
* Asset and Configuration Management: Monitor and manage hardware and software assets to ensure optimal performance.
* Release and Deployment: Plan and execute the deployment of new systems and technologies.
* Transition Planning and Support: Coordinate the transition of new services into production.
* Service Validation and Testing and Evaluation: Verify the quality and effectiveness of new services.
* Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and leadership to small to medium-sized project teams.
* Emergency On-Call Rotation: Participate in an emergency response rotation to provide after-hours support.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, or Business Administration, or 5+ years of relevant technical or business experience.
* Ability to understand business needs and deliver prompt, efficient, and high-quality service.
* Expected to be the third level of escalation for Technical Support.
