We are seeking a supply chain engineer responsible for developing demand- and supply plans. This role plays a key part in optimizing service levels, cost efficiency, and working capital to meet customer needs, business growth - and financial objectives.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Forecasting & Demand Planning
1. Develop accurate demand plans by combining analytical forecasting with cross-functional collaboration to align and refine forecasts across functions.
Supply Planning
2. Create supply plans aligned with the demand plans. Continuously monitor and adjust plans in response to internal/external fluctuations and/or opportunities. Coordinate with functions as product & procurement, manufacturing and logistics to ensure supply capabilities.
Inventory Management
3. Optimize inventory to balance service, cost and cash flow. Identify and resolve potential shortages or overstock issues.
Data Analysis & Reporting
4. Leverage data analytics to monitor performance, identify trends and guide business decisions.
Stakeholder Communication & Business Advice
5. Serve as a key liaison between commercial, operations, product & procurement, finance and other internal stakeholders by leading the (macroregional) S&OP cycles. Provide updates and recommendations on demand - and supply plans to (senior) leadership roles.
Continuous Improvement
6. Enhance planning processes and tools. Lead various initiatives to improve supply chain performance.
Personal Development
7. Take initiative in personal and professional growth through training and/or development programs. Stay up-to-date with trends, technologies and regulations in supply chain management.
Your profile:
8. Master degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or related field
9. 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or inventory management
10. Proficiency with forecasting tools, ERP systems, and Excel; experience with statistical modeling software is a plus
11. Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
12. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing environments
