We are looking for a Legal Counsel!
Orange Belgium, the next generation telecom operator on the Belgian and Luxembourgish market, is looking for an experienced & motivated Legal Counsel who will be in charge of the full legal support to several business units by providing legal analysis of the business environment and proposing desired actions, thus ensuring compliance with the law.
Key responsibilities:
1. You provide a full legal solution in a high technological, rapidly changing and expending environment (residential, business and wholesale market for fix, mobile and data products and services, television, VOD) which becomes more and more global and international for any business or technical issue.
2. You support, from a legal point of view, the BU and or department(s) in implementing the decision taken.
3. You develop all types of official and contractual legal documents and negotiate contracts with internal and external customers, suppliers, partners.
4. You provide full legal assistance on all IP issues amongst others on Content contracts, Collecting societies and VOD.
5. You provide legal assistance and advice in B2C customer related issues, advice the marketing department on promo’s and offers and the Com department on advertising.
6. You participate actively to transversal company and projects and helps in implementing them taking into account all legal, business and company related objectives.
7. You handle litigations related to the above mentioned scope and defines the procedural strategy to be followed in close cooperation with external lawyers.
8. You monitor changes in the laws and regulations to ensure OBE complies with the law.
Your profile:
9. 10 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a law firm or legal department of a company within the relevant scope.
10. Substantial experience in drafting commercial contracts especially Content and VOD contracts .
11. Deep knowledge of all new technologies laws as well as general commercial, civil law and procedural law.
12. Excellent communicator: outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills

16. Being able to work independently under a high workload taking into account the tight deadlines imposed by the business.
17. Being able to take decisions in an autonomous way.
18. Fluency in Dutch, French and English is required (oral and written).
