Overview
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planner to join a leading global organisation in the pharmaceutical sector. This is a 12-month freelance opportunity based in Brussels, offering a dynamic, international work environment and the chance to contribute to critical supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage supply plans to ensure product availability while optimising inventory levels
* Coordinate with manufacturing sites, distribution centres and external partners
* Monitor demand forecasts and adjust supply plans accordingly
* Identify and mitigate supply risks and constraints
* Lead or support S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes
* Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, logistics, quality, and commercial teams
* Analyse KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain
Requirements
* Proven experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, or similar roles
* Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes
* Experience in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceuticals, biotech, or healthcare) is highly preferred
* Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP/APO/IBP) and advanced Excel skills
* Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
* Ability to work independently in a freelance capacity
Languages
* Fluent in English (mandatory)
* French and/or Dutch (professional working proficiency preferred)
