About the RoleThe accountant evaluates complex transactions and records them to the general ledger as necessary to ensure financials are accurate and complete. Responsible for the completion of complex balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis. Identifies areas of concern and proposes improvements or courses of action. It requires the ability to proactively work with a large degree of autonomy, ensuring all business-critical items are actioned and all deadlines are adhered to. Excellent communication with suppliers, staff (particularly via telephone & email) and colleagues is critical to the successful undertaking of this role, as well as keeping the Finance Manager informed of all pertinent aspects and maintaining the company mantra of operating in a no surprise environment. Support to the COE team members in their day-to-day activities, giving advice and leading them in the right direction.
