Job Description:
We are currently seeking two motivated Ground Segment Engineers to join our client's team in Belgium.
Responsibilities:
As a Ground Segment Engineer, you will contribute to various international space projects, engaging in a range of technical activities in electronics and informatics. Responsibilities include testing procedures, equipment configuration, and troubleshooting ground installation failures. Key duties:
Execute System Engineering tasks, such as assembling, integrating, and configuring Galileo equipment, defining procedures, and using RF/electronic test benches.
Deploy new infrastructures globally, following procedures or leveraging collective knowledge.
Support the transport of Classified (CLA) materials to GALILEO remote sites.
Manage tasks like report creation and understanding management knowledge (MPP/PMAC/invoices).
Adhere strictly to defined schedules in coordination with the Project Manager.
Ensure timely communication of accurate information to stakeholders when overseeing a site.
Profile / Requirements :
Requirements:
Eligible for EU Security Clearance.
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication-Electronics/Electro-Mechanics.
Possess a master's degree in engineering (Telecommunication-Electronics/Electro-Mechanics) as an asset.
Have 4-5 years of relevant work experience in Space activities.
Demonstrate basic knowledge of satellite communication, RF electronics, LINUX environment, and IT communication protocols.
Mandatory basic electrical knowledge.
Manage ground station installations and operations globally.
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with external partners.
Experience and availability for global missions.
Strong reporting skills, collaboration, resourcefulness, and a positive team spirit.
Adaptability to a multilingual environment with autonomy and decision-making skills.
Passion for innovation and willingness to travel.
Language Skills:
Proficient in spoken and written English.
Knowledge of spoken and written French is an asset.
