Kreab is always on a look-out for bright new stars to further strengthen our service offer. We are looking to recruit a dynamic trainee to join our consulting team for a 6-month traineeship. If required, this traineeship could count toward University credits or a work placement.
The trainee will be part of our Market Access Practice (Trade, Competition, Investment and Sanctions) with a focus on agriculture and sanctions policy, assisting the team with monitoring and research across a wide range of topics. The responsibilities will include monitoring and analysis of the EU policy and regulatory developments, preparing reports, briefings and research notes for clients across a range of topics.

Our Brussels office comprises around 50 EU Affairs specialists, forming an international and multi-lingual team, based in the heart of the European quarter. Our EU practice coordinates our activities across Europe in a variety of sectors and serving a world-class portfolio of clients.
Specific requirements include:
Masters degree in European studies, law, international politics, economics, finance.
Demonstrated knowledge in the following areas: EU institutions and policy making, EU trade policy and trade relations with third countries, EU policy on agriculture, food safety, sustainability requirements, EU foreign policy including sanctions regime.
Fluent English, spoken and written. Fluent Ukrainian and Russian is a must. Additional European language skills are a plus.
A v alid Belgian work permit is a must.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively within an international team, requiring both cultural flexibility and a team-spirited approach.
Clear and concise communication skills, both spoken and written.
Capacity to analyze complex matters quickly and to gather intelligence swiftly.
Previous traineeship experience at the European institutions (ex.: Commission, Council, Parliament, EFTA) is a plus.
