SENIOR ELECTRONICS ENGINEER - BRUSSELS (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITION We're currently recruiting for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to join a team working on cutting-edge technologies for space missions. As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering sophisticated electronics systems that are essential for space platforms, including spacecraft, satellites, and supporting ground systems. In this position, you will take the lead on the design of complex analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronic subsystems, ensuring they meet the exacting standards required for space applications. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate closely with systems engineers, software teams, mechanical engineers, and testing experts to integrate electronics seamlessly into complex space systems. In addition to your technical expertise, you will be expected to mentor and guide junior engineers, ensuring high standards of design and best practices across the team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with extensive space hardware experience who wants to take on leadership responsibilities and drive the design and development of next-generation space systems. Lead the design and development of analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronic circuits for space systems, including satellite payloads, onboard computers, power systems, and data handling units. Perform schematic design, component selection, signal integrity analysis, and design for EMC. Develop and execute detailed verification, validation, and qualification plans (including environmental and radiation testing). Provide technical documentation including design reports, test procedures, FMEA, and part approval documentation. Collaborate closely with systems, mechanical, software, and test teams to ensure seamless integration of electronics into larger space platforms. Mentor junior engineers and review their designs to ensure quality and consistency. Support project planning, cost estimation, and risk assessment from a hardware perspective. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field. ~7+ years of experience in electronics design, with at least 3 years in the space or aerospace sector. ~ Familiarity with low-noise analog design, high-speed digital design, and power electronics. ~ Experience with testing and validation in accordance with space environment standards. ~ A permanent, full-time employment contract
