We're hiring a Facility Manager in Beringen! Help ensure our warehouses and offices are safe, clean, and fully operational, creating the best possible working environment for our teams.
As a Facility Manager, you are responsible for leading a Facility Expert with the objective of maintaining our infrastructure in excellent condition. You ensure that all facilities, including warehouses and offices are clean, safe, properly maintained, and fully functional.
Your goal is to create a secure and efficient environment where employees can perform their work under optimal conditions. This includes overseeing daily operations, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety, health, and quality standards across all sites.
How you create impact
1. Support Facility Managers, ensuring collaboration and regular performance reviews;
2. Supervise maintenance of buildings, equipment, and services across assigned locations, aligned with multi-year plans.;
3. Review legal inspections every six months and ensure non-compliance issues are addressed and documented;
4. Establish clear communication between the National Facility Manager and the Facility Expert, and coordinate regular meetings;
5. Onboard and coach new Facility Managers on KN systems, work methods, and maintenance planning;
6. Oversee and maintain the skill matrix and RASCI matrix for the facility management team;
7. Support sustainability initiatives including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and utility monitoring;
8. Provide cross-site support during absences or critical facility-related issues;
9. Lead or support national and regulatory facility projects in collaboration with Cluster BeNeLux Facility & Project Manager;
10. Develop and enforce security policies, conduct audits, and act as lead reviewer for emergency procedures.
What we would like you to bring
11. Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Facility Management, Civil Engineering, Construction, or Environmental Engineering;
12. Possess strong technical expertise and deep knowledge of facility management best practices and engineering operations;
13. Demonstrate excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization, with the ability to gain stakeholder buy-in;
14. Be proficient in project management tools, basic accounting, and finance principles;
15. Show strong analytical thinking, data processing skills, and the ability to perform risk analysis in decision-making;
16. Understand customer quality standards and user requirements, with a focus on continuous improvement;
17. Communicate fluently in English and Dutch or French; knowledge of a third language is a plus;
18. Exhibit flexibility, initiative, and the ability to manage and prioritize a diverse workload independently;
19. Display strong leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills, with a high level of administrative and digital proficiency;
20. Be a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of leading projects and maintaining effective relationships.
This role follows regular hours but requires flexibility and readiness to respond to urgent facility issues 24/7.
