Your role as our Mobile Operations Engineer
The mobile operations team and its operational partners guarantee the quality and continuous availability of the Telenet mobile network, the core network elements and services. We also provide a transparent implementation of new services and features within our area. You ensure reliability, quality & maintainability of platforms and services:
1. Contribute to projects introducing new technologies and features (e.g. 5G, IMS), focusing on operational validation and acceptance.
2. Collaborate closely with Engineering and the Managed Service Provider on product and network developments across domains.
3. Act as the IMS subject-matter expert within the Mobile Reliability team.
4. Implement automation and innovative solutions to reduce operational toil and improve efficiency.
5. Monitor alarms, analyse customer and network issues, and resolve or escalate them with relevant insights.
6. Manage, test, and maintain mobile MNO and IMS core network elements, including hardware, software, and monitoring systems.
7. Analyse departmental processes and proactively drive continuous improvements.
You will be part of a 24/7 on-call duty.
Your profile as our Mobile Operations Engineer
You are analytical and look ahead in solutions. Ensuring quality in everything you do.
8. You hold a master’s degree in a technical discipline (ICT, telecommunications, electronics) or have equivalent relevant experience.
9. Knowledge of and/or experience with mobile core technologies and protocols is an asset.
10. You are analytical and solution oriented.
11. You show a strong sense of responsibility and a clear customer-focused mindset.
12. You work accurately, both independently and as part of a team.
13. You are well-organized, assertive, and communicate effectively.
14. You have a strong knowledge of English, written and verbally.
