About the job We are representing an international company active in the environmental and water treatment sector. The company is part of a large industrial group with a strong global footprint and operations in multiple countries across Europe and the United States. The organization designs, manufactures, and commercializes equipment for water treatment applications (including aeration, mixing, foam breaking, and decanting). Thanks to patented technologies and continuous investment in R&D, the company has established itself as a major supplier in the global market. To support continued growth, we are currently looking for a: Sales Engineer - Environment & Water Sector After a comprehensive internal training program, you will become an integral member of the sales department and report directly to the Sales Manager. With the support of the engineering team, you will be responsible for preparing technical and commercial quotations, following up with customers, negotiating contracts, and providing sales support to colleagues during absences. You will manage and develop a network of agents and distributors, while also driving direct sales of the full product range to a broad customer base including contractors, industrial clients, and public authorities. The position is based in Halle (approximately 20 minutes from Brussels). You will travel around 20% of your time within Belgium and Europe (customer visits, trade fairs). Depending on your experience, involvement in export markets (Asia, Africa) may also be possible. Together with the Sales Manager, you will contribute to the development of the sales strategy and the execution of the associated action plan. You will also play a key role in monitoring and enhancing overall customer satisfaction with the products and services provided. Requirements Engineering degree or Business School diploma Minimum 5 years’ experience in B2B sales of technical products Fluency in Dutch, English, and French Strong commercial and communication skills, with an interest in environmental and technical solutions Proficient in Microsoft Office and social media (particularly LinkedIn) Dynamic, flexible, results-driven, customer-oriented, open-minded, and a team player with the ability to work independently Experience in the Environmental / Water sector is an asset What’s on offer A pleasant working atmosphere within a dynamic team A rewarding, multicultural environment An exciting role in a sector focused on environmental solutions Competitive compensation package with fixed and variable components Company car Sectoral pension plan and company health insurance
