The purpose of this job is to support the EHS & Facilities Manager, ensuring oversight of the EDC Reception and ensuring compliance to applicable standards.
1. Supports the EHS & Facilities Manager in the Facilities roles and responsibilities
2. Collaborates with all departments involved (Operations, Quality etc.) as well as with external stakeholders (including the landlord) to coordinate projects and activities related to facilities management, installations and equipment
3. Ensures oversight of the EDC Reception Team and ensures a clear expectation on roles and responsibilities for the reception staff
4. Establish and maintain facilities related contracts with vendors, contractors and service providers
5. Responsible for the coordination and executing of maintenance activities to ensure that the EDC Facilities, building installations and equipment are in good condition to provide a safe, secure and productive work environment
6. Responsible for the preparation, coordination and execution of facilities change projects
7. Is a key stakeholder in the EDC Security Program
8. Supports the site EHS Program by ensuring contractor safety, issuing work permits, and ensuring that EHS rules and regulations are followed throughout the entire execution of (contractor) activities and projects
9. Ensures compliance with all relevant standards throughout all tasks and projects
10. Has technical affinity
11. Is service oriented, flexible, pro-active and communication skills
12. Fluent in Dutch and English, written and spoken; French is a plus
13. Affinity with project management
14. Able to collaborate with different departments, cultures and stakeholders
15. Quality, safety and continous improvement mindset
16. Ability to plan, organize and prioritize daily work
17. Bachelor degree or equivalent through experience
