Tasks and responsibilities
Our client's IT department is looking to strengthen its current team supporting group life insurance systems.
We are seeking an IT Analyst/Developer to analyze and develop the solutions required to maintain and evolve our core application.
You will join a team of six colleagues who are eager to welcome you.
️ Responsibilities
* Manage the daily operations of the group life back‑end application running on the mainframe.
* Deliver projects within agreed timelines.
* Monitor and follow up on daily incidents (low volume).
* Contribute to technical and functional documentation through code analysis and application behavior review.
* Implement simple, structured, and efficient solutions.
Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in IT development or equivalent experience.
* At least 3 years of experience in IT solutions within life insurance.
* Excellent command of French or Dutch, with good knowledge of the other national language, and comfortable working in English.
* Strong knowledge of COBOL / DB2; experience with mainframe environments and/or group life insurance is an asset.
* Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Rigorous, organized, able to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.
* Able to learn quickly and work at a sustained pace in a dynamic environment.
* Analytical mindset, solution‑oriented, and results‑driven.
* Able to communicate with all types of stakeholders and present results clearly to senior management.
* Autonomous, proactive, and eager to take on challenges.
