Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Manager to lead our human resources initiatives. This role focuses on managing all HR-related activities, involves close collaboration with the leadership team, and reports to the Director of Finance and Administration.
The ideal candidate will be adaptable and open to taking on tasks beyond those outlined in this description. Key responsibilities include hiring and recruitment, payroll management, HR process development, digitalization of personnel files, training and development, company car fleet management, salary policy and benefits, security authorizations, work permits and relocation, employee relations, compliance and policy management, performance management, employee engagement and culture, and HR reporting and analytics.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
* Hiring and Recruitment: Oversee the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection, ensuring the attraction of top talent aligned with our mission and culture.
* Payroll Management: Collaborate with an external payroll agency to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including compliance with tax regulations and employee benefits administration.
* HR Process Development: Design, implement, and manage HR processes, including onboarding, performance evaluations, career development, and exit processes, to support employee engagement and organizational growth.
* Digitalization of Personnel Files: Lead the transition of personnel records to a secure, digital HR management system, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
* Training and Development: Coordinate and manage employee training programs, identifying development needs and organizing relevant training sessions to enhance skills and career growth.
* Company Car Fleet Management: Oversee the administration of the company car fleet, including allocation, maintenance, and compliance with company policies and regulations.
* Salary Policy and Benefits: Develop and manage a competitive salary policy and/or cafeteria plan, ensuring alignment with market standards and employee satisfaction.
* Security Authorizations: Manage the process of obtaining security clearances for employees working in nuclear-controlled areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Work Permits and Relocation: Facilitate work permits and provide relocation assistance for international employees, ensuring a smooth transition to Belgium.
* Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, and resolving conflicts in a fair and professional manner.
* Compliance and Policy Management: Ensure compliance with Belgian labor laws, nuclear industry regulations, and company policies, updating HR policies as needed.
* Performance Management: Implement and oversee performance management systems, including goal-setting, regular feedback, and annual appraisals.
* Employee Engagement and Culture: Develop initiatives to promote employee engagement, team-building, and a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture.
* HR Reporting and Analytics: Prepare and analyze HR metrics (e.g., turnover, recruitment success, employee satisfaction) to inform strategic decision-making.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR management role, preferably in a small to medium-sized organization.
* Experience with HR management systems and digitalization of HR processes is a strong asset.
* Knowledge of Belgian labor laws and regulations, particularly in the nuclear or pharmaceutical industry, is a plus.
* Experience managing payroll in collaboration with external agencies.
* Familiarity with obtaining security clearizations and work permits is an advantage.
Skills and Competences
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch, French is a plus;
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HR management software.
* Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and in a team.
