About the role

As an Account Manager, you will own and grow a portfolio of partners in the Italian market. Your role goes far beyond relationship management: you are responsible for retention, expansion, and long-term client value, across both our SaaS solutions and our marketplace offerings. You will operate in a scale-up sales culture, with clear KPIs, strong accountability, and high expectations on ownership and impact. You will report directly to the Head of Account Management and work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Support.


Your responsibilities

* Own a portfolio of B2B clients (agencies) in the Italian market and act as their main point of contact.
* Drive retention and expansion by understanding client business models, challenges, and growth objectives.
* Position Sortlist as a strategic growth partner, leveraging both SaaS tools and marketplace solutions depending on client maturity and needs.
* Run structured business reviews, performance check-ins, and mutual action plans to maximise client ROI.
* Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and manage renewals with a long-term value mindset.
* Anticipate churn risks, manage complex situations, and handle disengagement proactively.
* Maintain a clean and structured post-sales pipeline in CRM (HubSpot), with strong forecasting and follow-up discipline.
* Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Support to improve client experience and product adoption.
* Provide structured feedback from the field to influence product and go-to-market decisions.
* Operate with clear weekly KPIs (meetings, calls, account actions) and strong ownership over results.


Your profile

Experience & background

* 2–5 years of experience in B2B account management, customer success, consultative sales, or entrepreneurship.
* Native proficiency in Italian and professional fluency in English.
* Strong exposure to startup or scale-up environments with a demanding sales culture.
* Experience managing senior stakeholders, including C-levels.

Hard skills

* Strong CRM mastery (HubSpot, Salesforce or equivalent), especially post-sales pipelines.
* Familiarity with retention and expansion frameworks (NPS, LTV, CAC, SPICED, MEDDIC, LAP, Mutual Action Plans, etc.).
* Excellent analytical skills with strong Google Sheets proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
* Comfortable using sales and growth tools (e.g. Lemlist or similar).
* AI-friendly mindset: curious, pragmatic, and eager to leverage AI tools in daily workflows.

Soft skills & attitude

* Strong sense of ownership and accountability over client outcomes.
* Empathy and active listening, with the ability to navigate complex or tense client situations.
* Resilient and comfortable managing churn, objections, and commercial pressure.
* Curious, coachable, and continuously improving.
* Comfort working in a multicultural environment.
