Location: Beerse, Antwerp, Belgium; Leiden, Netherlands; Warsaw, Poland; High Wycombe, UK; Allschwil, Switzerland; Spring House, PA; Raritan, NJ.
Purpose
Lead the evaluation and strategic assessment of emerging technologies to advance the process, data, and technology portfolio. Conduct feasibility studies, experimentation, and proof‑of‑concepts to guide decision‑making and prioritize initiatives. Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes to maintain a balanced portfolio aligned with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
Lead evaluations of emerging technologies and assess alignment with organizational goals.
Conduct feasibility studies and experimentation supporting the development of POCs for new technology initiatives.
Make informed decisions regarding project prioritization and viability based on thorough analysis.
Perform comprehensive market and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
Facilitate portfolio balancing to ensure resource allocation aligns with strategic priorities.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive innovation and implement new technology solutions.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on evaluation outcomes and market trends.
Implement and execute a methodology to evaluate the business case for and prioritize initiatives within the portfolio based on alignment with strategic goals, potential business value, technical feasibility, and resource requirements.
Establish metrics and KPIs to measure progress and report regularly to stakeholders.
Partner with initiative leaders to identify and manage risks associated with the initiatives, developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Ensure initiatives within the portfolio are aligned with GRA strategic goals and objectives, driving discussions with senior leaders to secure support.
Identify key value drivers and develop the business case for each initiative within the portfolio, quantifying potential benefits such as cost savings, increased efficiency, or improved stakeholder satisfaction.
Track the realization of benefits for each initiative, monitoring progress and evaluating actual benefits achieved compared to projected benefits.
Communicate value created by initiatives to key stakeholders, including senior leaders, through reports and presentations that illustrate realized benefits and impact on GRA's goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in scientific, business, or technical discipline, Regulatory Affairs, Life Sciences, or a related field – required.
Master’s degree highly preferred.
Work Experience
8–10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry – required.
People and team management experience highly preferred.
Technical Competency / Skills
Strong understanding of emerging technologies (e.g., artificial intelligence, blockchain, IoT, etc.) and their applications across industries – required.
Experience in technology evaluation methodologies and frameworks – required.
Analytical Skills
Proven ability to conduct thorough market and competitive analysis, including data interpretation and trend forecasting – preferred.
Strong problem‑solving skills focused on feasibility assessments and strategic decision‑making – required.
Project Management
Experience managing projects or initiatives, including proof‑of‑conceptions, from inception to completion – required.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools is a plus.
Adaptability & Innovation
Willingness to stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies – required.

Travel
May require up to 10% domestic and international travel.
Benefits & Compensation
Base pay ranges:
Poland: 278,000.00 – 478,400.00 PLN
Belgium: 96,000.00 – 165,025.00 EUR
Netherlands: 82,900.00 – 144,210.00 EUR (includes 8% holiday allowance)
Annual bonus with set target (percentage of pay) depending on pay grade/location, based on company and employee performance.
